MANUP? THERAPY SESSION 5: TRAUMA

  • MANUP? Crockatt Road Ipswich, England, IP7 6RH United Kingdom (map)

In session five of our cost-free, 12-week programme, taking place on the 6th of June 2024 from 18:15 to 19:15, we invite any man touched by trauma, or seeking to support others, to explore 'Trauma' in a setting that combines understanding with action.

James Elliott (MSc) facilitates this session, blending professional insight with a genuine passion for aiding men in navigating the aftermath of traumatic experiences. Trauma can shape lives invisibly, yet its effects are often tangible in daily behaviours and personal relationships. This session aims to illuminate these unseen influences, providing clarity and strategies for healing and empowerment.

Our commitment to your safety and anonymity remains unwavering. There is no need for cameras or real names, as we value the shared experience over personal identifiers. The session will unfold with the following guidelines: engagement through a provided Zoom link, communication via group chat to foster a collective healing environment, and a focus on open dialogue without the diversion of private messaging.

At the heart of this session lies the commitment to understanding trauma not as a life sentence but as a chapter that, with support and knowledge, can lead to a narrative of strength and renewal. Our discussion will delve into the nature of trauma, its mechanisms, and the transformative treatments that can pave the way to recovery.

Through shared stories and professional guidance, you’ll find that while trauma may be a common thread, it also weaves a tapestry of resilience. Embrace this opportunity to learn, heal, and grow amongst peers who understand that the journey forward is one best travelled together.
