Ambition Institute 'how to tackle the term 'man up' event

  • MANUP? Crockatt Road Ipswich, England, IP7 6RH United Kingdom (map)

Ambition Institute are a charity that aims to tackle educational disadvantages. We provide programmes for teachers and school leaders that help educators become more expert overtime. The support we give them ultimately feeds back to their pupils, and can help disadvantaged students catch up to their peers. We have a number of affinity groups that all colleagues are welcome to join. They include the Race and Equality, Women’s and LGBTQ+ networks. The groups are part of Ambition’s equality, diversity and inclusion movement, and aim to provide a safe space for employees to come together to celebrate occasions, have healthy debates and raise any concerns for network leads to feedback to the EDI board.

The leads for the Mental Health Network are delighted to have a Dan Somers from MANUP? come to Ambition and talk about Men’s Mental Health. We are keen to learn how to challenge the ‘man up’ concept and how men can get support when overcoming poor mental health.
