Why Do Men Die by Suicide? – Manchester

  • Friend's Meeting House 6 Mount Street Manchester, England, M2 5PD United Kingdom (map)

Male suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK. It is a public health crisis that continues to take lives every single day.

After the success of our previous Why Do Men Die by Suicide? events across the UK, which have all sold out, we are bringing this powerful and eye-opening session to Manchester following a huge number of requests.

Hosted by MANUP? and Dr Susie Bennett from the University of Glasgow, this event will share the latest research findings and insights into male suicide. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the risk factors that put men at risk and learn practical ways to better support men in crisis.

What to expect:

  • Latest research findings from Dr Susie Bennett’s ongoing work into male suicide

  • Panel discussions featuring experts who support men every day

  • Real stories and practical insights from those working on the frontline of men’s mental health

This event is for anyone who works with, advocates for, or wants to better understand and support men at risk of suicide.

Tickets are free but spaces are limited. Previous events have sold out quickly, so early booking is recommended.
