MANUP? is supporting the first Golf Battle of the Fynn Villages, bringing together golfers from Tuddenham St Martin, Westerfield, Witnesham and Ashbocking for a friendly battle for village bragging rights.

We’ve also provided some funding towards the event as part of our work to get MANUP? into more rural communities. Men living outside larger towns and cities can often be harder for traditional mental health campaigns and services to reach, so we want to support opportunities that take the conversation to where men already are.

Dan Somers, Founder & CEO of MANUP?, will be speaking at the event, talking about men’s mental health, why MANUP? takes a different approach and the importance of reaching men in their own communities rather than expecting them to come looking for support.

The golf itself is open to players of all abilities, with four villages competing for one trophy and, apparently more importantly, permanent bragging rights.

Villages competing: Tuddenham St Martin, Westerfield, Witnesham and Ashbocking
Venue: Fynn Valley Golf Club
Date: Friday 16 October 2026
To play / contact: tuddenhamgolf@gmail.com

This isn’t a MANUP?-organised event, but it’s exactly the sort of community-led activity we’re happy to get behind: local people getting together, having a laugh and creating an opportunity to get men thinking and talking about their mental health.
