MANUP? has been invited to take part in the RCN SOM Occupational Health Nursing Conference, now in its eighth year. This annual event, jointly run by the Royal College of Nursing and the Society of Occupational Medicine, brings together professionals who work to protect and promote the health and wellbeing of employees in the workplace.
Following feedback from previous conferences, organisers identified a strong need for a dedicated session focusing on men’s health in the workplace. MANUP? Founder Dan Somers has been asked to deliver a solo talk highlighting the mission and impact of MANUP?, as well as the importance of listening to men and creating environments where they feel able to speak openly.
Dan’s session will be introduced by Jessica Turner, Professional Lead for Public Health at the RCN, who will discuss the Men’s Health Strategy for England and the growing recognition that men’s wellbeing must be better supported through early intervention and workplace awareness.
This event will be attended by more than 200 delegates, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and occupational health specialists from both the NHS and the independent sector.
Although this was a closed professional event, we share it here to highlight how MANUP? continues to work with leading organisations and national bodies to ensure that men’s mental health is recognised, understood, and acted on across every level of society.
