Sip & Support – Men's Mental Health Awareness with Santander

  • Santander 2 Triton Square London, England, NW1 3BF United Kingdom (map)

As part of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, MANUP? was invited by Santander Bank to deliver a special edition of their ongoing Sip & Support series. This one-hour online session gave us the opportunity to bring the MANUP? message directly into the workplace, showing how employers can play a vital role in supporting men’s mental health.

The session covered the realities many men face, from the pressure to stay silent to the stigma that still surrounds asking for help. Through lived experience, expert input, and open conversation, we highlighted why listening to men is just as important as encouraging them to talk. We also looked at practical steps businesses can take to make sure male staff feel able to speak up without fear of judgement.

Although this was a closed event for Santander employees, we share it here to show the kind of work MANUP? is involved in behind the scenes. Working with organisations like Santander allows us to reach men in environments where they spend a huge part of their lives, the workplace. By creating safe spaces and sparking conversations, we help employers recognise the signs, break down barriers, and give men the confidence to share what is really going on.

This event is just one example of how MANUP? partners with communities, businesses, and services across the UK to ensure that men’s voices are not only heard, but acted on.
