Why Do Men Die by Suicide? – Newcastle

  • Great North Museum Hancock, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 4PT United Kingdom (map)

Male suicide is a public health crisis. Yet conversations about it are often shallow or focused on the wrong solutions.

This research-sharing event is fully funded by MANUP? – the only men’s mental health charity using fundraiser money to make this research possible. Dr Susie Bennett from the University of Glasgow will present her findings on why men are dying by suicide, along with practical recommendations for those working directly with men. Panel discussions will also feature leading voices in suicide prevention.

Who is this for?
Anyone working with or advocating for men – from health professionals to community workers – who wants a deeper understanding of male suicide.
