MEN & HOW TO SUPPORT OTHERS
Supporting the people around you when things get difficult can be challenging. This session is about staying steady, present, and grounded without shutting down, overreacting, or taking everything on yourself.
Alex Williams will be covering a simple, practical framework for responding when someone else is struggling, helping you stay calm and supportive in real moments.
This isn’t about theory. It’s about understanding what’s actually going on and hearing real experiences.
What you’ll get:
A clearer way to stay steady when others are struggling
Real-world guidance on responding rather than reacting
A chance to reflect on your own patterns and make small, realistic changes
What are Alex’s sessions like?
Alex keeps mental health simple, practical and to the point. Drawing on more than 20 years working in NHS mental health services, he focuses on helping men understand what might be going on in their own heads without overcomplicating it.
His sessions aren’t about jargon or sitting through a lecture. Alex takes the topic, breaks it down into plain English and gives men practical ideas they can take away and use in everyday life.
You don’t need to know anything about mental health or be struggling with a particular problem. Just turn up, listen and take whatever is useful to you.
